Steps

  1. HTML and CSS

    4 to 6 weeks

    Learn semantic HTML, forms, and accessibility basics. Then CSS: the box model, Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design for phones first. Rebuild two real website layouts from screenshots.

  2. JavaScript

    6 to 8 weeks

    The most important step. Learn the language properly: functions, arrays, objects, the DOM, events, fetch, promises, and async/await. Build small projects without any framework: a calculator, a quiz, a weather page using a public API.

  3. Git and GitHub

    1 week

    Learn to commit, branch, push, and open pull requests. Keep every project on GitHub with a clear README and a live link.

  4. React

    8 to 10 weeks

    Learn components, props, state, effects, forms, and routing. Understand when a component re-renders and why. Build one medium project, such as a clinic appointment booking app with a list, a form, and filters.

  5. Styling at speed with Tailwind CSS

    2 weeks

    Most React teams use a CSS framework. Learn Tailwind's utility classes and restyle your React project with it.

  6. Deploy and build your portfolio

    3 to 4 weeks

    Deploy your projects so anyone can open them. Build a simple portfolio site that links to each project with its GitHub code. Test everything on a real phone before sharing.
